A postcard with a sweet note came from Ella Banker in May. The postcard features a proud peacock, and Ella gave it a nice splash of color. I especially love THE BEE "Creativity" sticker. Much appreciated, Ella!

A vintage retail catalog was the source for most images in this collage postcard. A postage stamp, rubber stamp image, and some doodling finished the piece.
This postcard to Prairie Kitten was the fourth piece of mail art I ever sent out. A pretty simple piece. I think I've grow as an artist since then.

Two Cards for the price of one - from Mr. Canard this week. (Originally posted on my blog at IUOMA, March 24, 2018) Received this postcard on 03-19-18, and the sender is unknown. The only clue I have is that it came from New York, NY. Soooooo....come out, come out wherever you are!!! Anyway...love this collage card, Bugs Bunny and all! Thank you!
Outgoing to Ruud Janssen (IUOMA), Breda, Netherlands. My third piece of outgoing mail art was to IUOMA (International Union of Mail-Artists) founder, Ruud Janssen. This postcard wasn't anything special, art-wise. The intention was to express my appreciate for membership in the IUOMA-Ning site. What a terrible faux pas, though - I transposed the U and the O, and initially wrote IOUMA! Thank goodness I caught the mistake before I mailed it. Hopefully Ruud had a laugh at my silly blunder! Through his TAM-PUBLICATIONS, Ruud Janssen publishes books on mail art - available in hardcover, paperback and eBook versions. Proceeds from the sale of the books benefit the IUOMA.
Outgoing to Marek W. (IUOMA), POLAND. Marek is the Founder & International Director of World Smile Archive.
This was the very first piece of m-a I sent out after joining the IUOMA. (Originally posted on my blog at IUOMA, March 14, 2018) My mailbox welcomed this post card from Lisa Fraker! On front is a glimpse of what her paint desk looks like these days. Tubes and tubes of Gouache paint for her latest painting! Would love to see your finished work, Lisa! Thanks for the mail, and look out for one coming your way soon!

I received my first mail art piece from Mr. Canard - TRASHPO! Thanks much, Richard! I'm not much of a fan of Hostess Cupcakes or Twinkies either. (Growing up in Eastern Pennsylvania, I much rather have Tastycakes (Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes, yum!) I agree...there is something to be said about the graphic design elements of the packaging! Love that you recycle / repurpose... (Originally posted on my blog at IUOMA, March 4, 2018) Holy Buckets! The mail just keeps pouring in! I am so loving it! This postcard is from K. Rolina! What a warm welcome! I especially like vintage collage images, and this piece really fits the bill. Thanks so much, K. Rolina. You rock!!
