One of my favorite mail pals, Bonniediva (Gurnee, IL) has sent a few mail art pieces between February and July. I decided to feature this mail here. Bonniediva Mail Art (February 8, 2020) Bonnie gave me a "Loved" collage she made with vintage images. Also received some add and pass materials.    Bonniediva Mail Art (May 19, 2020) A couple of add and passes came my way via Gurnee, IL. Bonniediva also sent me another collage made with vintage scrapes. I am happy to report that two zines arrived - BON-ZINE No. 10 (the timely Quaren-zine issue) and a cute CATS ZINE.

We can always count on getting Add & Pass sheets from mail artist Ed Giecek. Most times Ed includes at least one or two sheets that he's created. Who can miss the all-too-familiar "Frum the desk of ed!" at top, or a large stamped image (Ed's own hand carved stamp) that adorns the page.  Recent Add and Pass sheets received from Ed Giecek (Washington, U.S.A.) Ed's recent mailing to me (received in late January) includes three Add and Pass sheets, along with a sticker from The Sticker Dude. The front of the sticker features a Taylor guitar headstock. Color photos of the two mail artists are layered over top. The sticker reads, "Taylor Brothers, Mailer Brothers." The backside has a nice write up about The Sticker Dude's relationship with Ed Giecek. How wonderful that these two have so much in common, and have a friendship that's endured.  Some mail artists cringe at the mention of Add & Pass sheets. Others are delighted to receive them, and at times may even volunteer to take some from mail artists who are burdened with piles of them . A&Ps are okay by me - they're fun, but my turnaround time is pretty bad. I tend to let them stack up. Months may go by until I get around to adding to and passing them on. I also enjoy creating my own a&p sheets, collab. books and faux money to circulate throughout the network. I haven't kept track, so not sure of the number of pieces that are floating around out there. To follow are photos of a few that have made their way back home.  A&P Sheet "Photos" by Jayne B. A couple of add & passes arrived in late January. They came from the fabulous Mim Golub Scalin.  A&P initiated by Guido Bondioli (Meza, AZ) with adds by Mim Golub Scalin (Richmond, VA). Received April 17, 2019: Art By Mail came from Migvel Tepes, Portugal.  Artist Trading Card (front & back) by Migvel Tepes. This is the first mailing from Migvel Tepes. Migvel has included original art pieces, including an Artist Trading Card and a bag of handmade paper fish.  Top: A Dada sticker and a Portugal Stamp. Bottom: A package of cute handmade / drawn fish. February 2019: An envelope filled with add & pass stuff came from Toni Hanner.  Envelope with various postage stamps, and an add & pass from Boozy Barb, with adds by Toni Hanner. One add & pass came in the form of a large tag (8 1/2" x 4 1/8"). A Flux Bucks type currency, 'Funny Munny,' was also sent to me.  Fleur Helsingor's 'Funny Munny,' with adds by Fast Eyes, Boozy Barb, Bonniediva and Toni Hanner. Mail from January 28, 2019: Mr. Bill Porter of The Olathe Poste is a wonderful correspondent. He always takes the time to write a friendly letter. We like to share about our mutual hobby - philately!  Bill sent an original add & pass, complete with original watercolor work. He said of my middle initial, “the B stands for Beautiful !” Haha...quite the charmer!
